Thanks for the click! While new to the Augusta area, I’m a native Mainer. After having the opportunity to broadcast from various parts of the country, I made the decision on a return to Maine for good in 2008. It’s a way of life, and clearly something the “from away” crowd do not get. I’ve heard “Maine is kinda boring, what do you do?” Well, beach, mountains, endless county roads, and some of the best restaurants are a great place to start. Speaking of roads, cycling allows to the leisure to find even more of them, as I try to get a ride in most days. During lunch, you’ll probably find me adding a few miles on the Kennebec River Rail Trail. Racing’s always been a thing, and for NASCAR in your back yard, stop down to Beech Ridge in Scarborough this summer. You’ll hear me talk about cars/trucks/whatever go around in circles. I also enjoy consuming entire family size bags of pretzels in a single sitting. The health insurance people really don’t like to hear about that. Remember that expiration dates are merely the company’s suggestion, and charcoal whenever possible. I’ve never met a hot sauce I didn’t like.

Go Inside The B&M Baked Beans Factory

The Maine Turnpike presents a few options when it splits off in Scarborough to 295. Staying on the pike will take you past Lewiston/Auburn. However, the 295 option will save you a few miles en route to Gardiner, but you run the risk of hitting Portland traffic, which could negate the time saved in mileage. You'll also save a little in toll money by opting for the coastal route.

Elton John Coming To Maine! 5 Songs He Better Play

When word came in Elton John is coming to Maine for two shows, my mind immediately did the selfish concert fan thing of what HE BETTER PLAY! Being the type of Elton John guy who still listens to his new material (work with the late Leon Russell, and The Diving Board produced some of his best songs since the 70's) I'm still a first day listener/buyer. Yet, when at an Elton show, you simply can't deny the hits. The songs are larger than life, and wouldn't you rather sing along Tiny Dancer anyway? Not you, Tim McGraw. So, here's five we're hoping are on the set list.

NH Woman Swaps Inspection Sticker With Cheese

Everyone say "cheese?" When it comes to skirting the law, I've often wondered how people get to their level of thought. Never in a million years would I look at a wrapper of processed cheese, and thought to swap it for an inspection sticker. Heck, I know the police look for these stickers, as I have been pulled out of traffic for running with one "slightly" expired. Yet, here we are.

No Deal In Place For Led Zeppelin Reunion

Earlier this week, Robert Plant's website was very cryptic in hopes of a reunion for Desert Trip AKA "Oldchella." "Any time now" sent the internet into overdrive on thoughts of a one off Led Zeppelin show. According to Billboard, the message on Plant's web site "is more likely a tease to a forthcoming album than to an upcoming performance.
