I guess it shouldn't be that big of a surprise that famed Maine horror author Stephen King showed up to last night's Maine premiere of the big screen version of "IT"

According to WABI TV, the author made an appearance at the Maine premiere (the only other premiere was in New York) of the big screen adaptation of "IT" at the Bangor Mall Cinemas.

He introduced the movie, thanked fans, and then joined them to watch it.

As the fictional town of Derry, the setting for "IT", was based on Bangor, it makes sense that the city would host a premiere.

The movie opens Friday!
