Gas Prices Stable In Maine, And Up Nationally This Week. And The Cheapest Places To Buy Gas In Central Maine
Gas prices in Maine remained steady this week, but the national average price for a gallon of gas has gone up.
According to price monitoring site Gas Buddy, the average price for a gallon of gas in Maine this week is $2.236, which is just slightly up from last weeks average price of $2.230.
The average national price for a gallon of gas this week is $2.260 a gallon, which is up from last weeks average of price of $2.222.
We searched locally for the lowest gas prices in Central Maine.
In Augusta, the cheapest price we could find was at at the Irving Station on 284 Civic Center Drive which is selling gas at $2.19 a gallon.
In Waterville, the cheapest place to buy gas we could find was the Citgo Station 364 Main Street which is checking in at $2.17 a gallon, and the Mobil on 94 Pleasant Street, which is selling gas at $2.19 a gallon.
In Winthrop, Cumberland Farms at 410 Main Street is selling gas at $2.23 a gallon.
In Fairfield, the Irving Station at 155 Pung Hill Road reported gas at 2.16 a gallon.
In Brunswick, the 7-Eleven at 152 Main Street is selling gas at $2.19 a gallon.
And in Lewiston, the cheapest place we could find for gas was at Danny’s 1495 Sabattus St which checked in at $2.15 a gallon.
