Thanks for the click! While new to the Augusta area, I’m a native Mainer. After having the opportunity to broadcast from various parts of the country, I made the decision on a return to Maine for good in 2008. It’s a way of life, and clearly something the “from away” crowd do not get. I’ve heard “Maine is kinda boring, what do you do?” Well, beach, mountains, endless county roads, and some of the best restaurants are a great place to start. Speaking of roads, cycling allows to the leisure to find even more of them, as I try to get a ride in most days. During lunch, you’ll probably find me adding a few miles on the Kennebec River Rail Trail. Racing’s always been a thing, and for NASCAR in your back yard, stop down to Beech Ridge in Scarborough this summer. You’ll hear me talk about cars/trucks/whatever go around in circles.
I also enjoy consuming entire family size bags of pretzels in a single sitting. The health insurance people really don’t like to hear about that. Remember that expiration dates are merely the company’s suggestion, and charcoal whenever possible. I’ve never met a hot sauce I didn’t like.
