Are Guns N’ Roses Planning A 30th Anniversary Show?
This Friday (July 21st) marks the 30th anniversary of the release of Appetite For Destruction. Last year, the band grossed $100 million in North America, and this year are 2017's highest grossing tour. So, what could top that?
How about a 30th Anniversary show with all 5 members from the classic lineup?
This is merely speculation, but 30th anniversary posters are plastered over NYC. The band have a booked date at the legendary Apollo Theater scheduled for Thursday night. However, this leaves Friday open. Axl, Slash, and Duff are already in, obviously. While Izzy Stradlin didn't jump on the reunion tour over money, and Steven Adler has only played a few shows for various unconfirmed reasons, the timing could be right for a one off. If they were to tear through Appetite from start to finish, Adler wouldn't be out of shape. His former band Adler's Appetite made the first album a focus nightly on stage. Izzy, who co wrote much of the album, could easily slide in if the circumstances were right. Well, they are. The world is talking about GnR again, their streaming and other digital platforms are bringing in millions, and for the first time since the 90's, it seems like it may happen.
Then again, they don't call them Guns n' F*****' Roses for nothing.
