1,029 of the 1,687 total cases of COVID-19 have recovered and 70 deaths according to WABI. That means there are 588 active cases at this time.

A Houlton man ended up going 120mph in a police chase started in Sabattus and ended in Falmouth according to WABI. He was arrested on Saturday.

More rallies to open states were held this weekend including Augusta where former Gov Paul LePage spoke according to WABI.   Another protest is scheduled for May 30th.  Lepage spoke over the speakers from his car where he was, apparently,  self-quarantining.

Pride’s Corner Drive-in in Westbrook was open this weekend to a sold-out crowd. According to WABI, the movie was the “Wizard of Oz”.  They do have some new rules for physical distancing that guest did follow.

Officials are looking for a suspect who tried to set a gas pump on fire at an Augusta gas station. According to WGME, it caused minor damage and quickly went out.

Chizzle Wizzle will go on but virtually according to centralmaine.com. Parts of the performance have already been recorded and still, other sections need to be recorded so students who are comfortable taking part will be recorded early next month.

Maine restaurants in much of Maine will be able to be open today according to centralmaine.com. Many have been working on the steps to make that happen under the new restrictions and guidelines.

NASCAR was back as of yesterday, the first race since early March and with no fans in the stands, Kevin Harvick won at Darlington.  The teams that were there did have new rules and restrictions in the work environment according to centralmaine.com.
